Hey there, friends! Today, we’re diving into how to automate your Rithmic connections. Many of you have already enjoyed the TradingView to Tradovate integration, and now we’re excited to introduce the Rithmic integration. If you’re familiar with the Tradovate setup, you’ll find that this process is quite similar.
Getting Started with Rithmic Integration
First things first, let’s talk about how to set everything up. You’ll need to enter your username, route, password, and system name in the PickMyTrade platform. Here’s a quick breakdown:
- Username: This is your Rithmic username.
- Password: Enter your Rithmic password here.
- Route: If you select ‘Rithmic Paper Trading’, it will function as a simulator. For live trading, choose ‘Rithmic Test’ or ‘Rithmic 01’.
Once you’ve filled in these details, click on “Create”. You will see a pop-up message with the terms and conditions—make sure to agree to them so your settings can be saved. After that, click on “Connect”, and you’ll see that it is now connected!
Generating Alerts
Now that you’re connected, it’s time to generate alerts. Alerts are crucial for automated trading as they trigger actions based on your predefined strategies. To set up an alert:
- Click on “Generate Alert” and choose either an indicator or strategy. There are tutorials available to guide you through this process.
- Specify your account and click “Yes”.
- Click on “Add Account”, enter your account name, and save changes.
After that, click on “Generate Alert” again, then “Copy Code”. Next, head over to TradingView. Select your strategy, click the plus icon, and paste the code you copied. For the webhook URL, go back to PickMyTrade, copy the webhook URL, and paste it in TradingView.
Monitoring Alerts and Orders
After setting up your alerts, you can monitor them directly from the PickMyTrade homepage. Alerts will be displayed with an entry ID, and any take profit or stop-loss orders will also be visible. In the orders section, you can track all the orders placed in Rithmic, including any that may have been rejected.
Settings and Customization
The settings section in PickMyTrade is autopopulated for commonly used symbols. If you can’t find a specific setting, simply search for it. For example, if you want to look up the NQ symbol, you can easily find it or create a mapping if it’s not available.
- Order Type: Specify whether you’re placing a market or limit order.
- Quantity: Enter the quantity for your trades.
If your symbol doesn’t conform to standard tick sizes or lot sizes, you can go to TradingView and click on the security info for that symbol. This will provide you with the necessary point value and tick size to input into PickMyTrade.
Conclusion
With the Rithmic integration through PickMyTrade, automating your trading experience just got a whole lot easier. As you venture into automated trading, remember to monitor your trades and alerts regularly to ensure everything runs smoothly.
